Description

AstroDate is a 24-hour astronomical watchface for the Pebble Time 2, loosely based on the old Twilight SunClock watch face. The goals of this watch face are to 1) provide information for astronomical observing and 2) look good doing it.

The 24-hour dial shows daylight, civil, nautical and astronomical twilight, and night as colored wedges, with a marker tracking the current time around the rim. The lower half of the dial shows the current phase of the Moon, and a white arc around the outside edge of the dial shows when the Moon is above the horizon.

AstroDate was created to support astronomical observations, and so displays local sidereal time and the current Julian date - in addition to UTC, sunrise and sunset, Moon rise and set, and the calendar date.  All the positional astronomy is calculated on the watch: no internet connection is needed - in case you are on the mountain observing and don't have a data connection.

Settings: automatic GPS location or fixed coordinates, 12/24-hour time, several display options (battery, sun rise/set, moon rise/set, lunar phase and vis. arc), three color schemes, and three time-marker styles.
