# Dymaxion 0.4.5
The bottom tray can now choose its own page. Set Automatic rotation to Smart
and it shows what matters now: the weather when rain is likely in the next few
hours, the tide as it turns, Health while you are walking, the calendar in the
morning, and otherwise your starting panel. A wrist flick still changes the
page, and the page you chose stays for ten minutes before Smart takes over
again. It works from data the watch already has and adds no sensors.
The night saver can now follow your watch's Quiet Time. Turn on During Quiet
Time in Power & motion and, whenever Quiet Time is on (switched on by hand, by
its schedule, or during a calendar event), Dymaxion treats it as night: the map
reshades every other hour and nothing animates. Use it with or without the
saver's own hours.
Pause in the dark now follows the backlight. At night the face holds its last
picture while the light is off, catches up the moment the light comes on, and
keeps the time current for as long as it stays on.
Times on the map now come in five sizes, from the original small figures up to
large and wide ones, under Map time size in Display. Each label still finds
its own open space on the map.
Tall place times, also in Display, makes the three times beside the clock
larger. It is off by default.
Place icons are now a setting of their own, on by default for every palette.
Each place's map marker appears next to its name in the time zones panel. The
day and night mark beside it is now a small sun or moon, so it can no longer
be mistaken for a marker.
The watch preview on the settings page now matches the watch face exactly, and
the page's wording is simpler and clearer.
# Dymaxion 0.4.4
Tide setup can now find the nearest NOAA station for you. Enable Tide or open
NOAA tides in settings: if no station is saved, Dymaxion suggests the nearest
station with hourly predictions within 150 km of your phone. Up to five nearby
choices show their distances, and selecting one fills its ID, short label and
local time zone automatically.
Existing stations stay selected. Use Find nearby NOAA stations to explore
alternatives, or keep using coastal presets and custom station details. Choose
the station that best fits your waterway, then Save to watch.
The lookup runs during phone configuration and reuses the shared low-power
location fix. It adds no watch-side polling or sensors. Without location access
or nearby NOAA coverage, manual selection remains available.
# Dymaxion 0.4.3
A new blue-and-amber faceted globe identifies Dymaxion in the watch's face
selector. It is drawn directly on a 25×25 pixel grid, with a transparent
background and native Pebble colors for crisp edges.
The icon is bundled into the watchface itself and adds no ongoing drawing or
sensor activity. Your layout, palettes and settings stay as you left them.
# Dymaxion 0.4.2
Panel gestures now allow time for your wrist to settle: the default two-flick
gesture accepts a second flick within two seconds, up from 0.9 seconds.
There is also an optional **Light the screen, then flick once** mode in
**A window on the day → Panel gesture**. Wake the backlight normally, pause
briefly, then flick once to change the bottom panel. It listens for motion
only while the light is on and the watchface is visible, without continuous
accelerometer sampling or a timer to poll the light. Your existing gesture
choice is preserved.
The night saver's paused display now refreshes on any backlight wake, including
a screen touch or button. Pebble currently reserves touchscreen input for
watchapps, so screen taps themselves cannot change a watchface's panels.
Gesture bursts, settings changes, leaving the watchface and clock adjustments
are guarded against accidental or stuck changes. Physical wrist sensitivity
still depends on the watch's motion detection.
# Weather where you are
- Weather now defaults to your phone's current location and time zone, alongside the main clock. Temperature, rain, humidity and daylight use the same forecast location.
- City naming and weather share a cached, coarse location fix. Weather works even if city-name lookup is unavailable or your clock caption is entered manually. No continuous location tracking is added.
- If permission or connection fails, valid cached weather is marked OLD; another city's forecast is never silently substituted.
- Saved-city forecasts remain available as an optional override, with sunrise/sunset times in that city's time zone.
Existing preferences are preserved. After updating, open **A window on the day → Weather & humidity → Forecast location** and choose **Current location**, then save to the watch. Allow location access for the Pebble phone app.
# A world of places, easier to make your own
- A redesigned phone settings page with a pixel-perfect watch preview, day/evening samples, palette swatches and clear, expandable sections.
- Search for a city, choose the right region, and fill its coordinates and time zone automatically. Suggested short labels remain editable. More than 50 saved cities are available offline.
- City search is also available in the web workshop. Your chosen glyphs, custom colors and saved settings carry forward.
- A warmer introduction to the Dymaxion map, Buckminster Fuller and Shoji Sadao.
- Automated release checks now build and test both the website and native watchface before publishing a version tag to Pebble and GitHub.
Open Dymaxion’s settings in the Pebble app after updating. Your existing watch layout and preferences are preserved. Search needs an internet connection; previews and saved cities work offline. Preview weather and device readings are examples.
Initial app-store release for Pebble Time 2: live Dymaxion map, world clocks, configurable panels, 25 palettes and optional animations. Includes verified fixes for panel transitions.
