Version 1.02014-05-09T20:29:51.505

Initial release. Currently, NetSense measures both latency (time to recieve a very small response from an HTTP server) and data transfer speed (by periodically downloading a larger quantity of data). The app generates pairs of tactile pulses where the strength of the pulses depends on the speed of the most recent data transfer (stronger=faster connection), and time between pulses in each pair represents the latency (longer=more latency).

By default, latency is updated every 2 seconds and speed is updated every 2 minutes. You can change these settings in the configuration. Because speed measurement requires downloading a significant amount of data, you should make this infrequent if you are using a data-limited cellular connection.
