# Orationes v0.14.0
- New: Adoro Te Devote, under All Prayers → Daily Prayer and available as a
shortcut, in the supplied English translation.
- Jump to section moves between its seven stanzas.
Existing prayer wording, shortcuts, saved-settings formats, and store artwork
are unchanged.
# Orationes v0.13.0
- New: Meal Prayers, under All Prayers → Daily Prayer and available as a
shortcut. It contains the Blessing Before Meals, with its midday and evening
additions, followed by Grace After Meals.
- Jump to section moves between the Blessing, each addition, and Grace.
- Versicles and responses use V./R., matching the other prayers.
Existing prayer wording, shortcuts, saved-settings formats, and store artwork
are unchanged.
# Orationes v0.12.3
- Reduce Bluetooth traffic: launching Orationes no longer asks the watch to send
its full settings to the phone. Phone Settings still requests current watch
values when opened; if the watch does not reply within two seconds, cached
values are clearly labelled.
- Settings saved on the phone but not yet confirmed by the watch are still resent
when Orationes launches.
Watch screens, controls, prayer wording, saved-settings formats, and store
artwork are unchanged.
# Orationes v0.12.2
- Put Start again first and select it initially in Reading Options throughout
the app, including the Litany of Loreto. Jump to section follows where available.
- To return to the beginning of a prayer, press Select, wait for Reading Options
to open, then press Select again. No Up/Down navigation is needed.
- Keep the existing controls: hold Up/Down to scroll quickly; double-click Select
while reading to exit to the watchface.
Prayer wording, saved-settings formats, and store artwork are unchanged.
# Orationes v0.12.1
- Make Compact Menus visibly denser: short rows use 36 pixels instead of 48,
fitting five complete default home shortcuts below the header. Full-size fonts
remain unchanged; wrapped names expand with less padding. Short Settings labels
and values share a line when they fit. Spacious 54-pixel rows remain the default.
- Add Compact Menus to Clay and synchronize it in both directions with the watch.
Existing choices survive upgrades. Watch reset and Clay Restore Defaults + Save
Settings both turn it off; older phone payloads that omit it preserve the value.
- Request fresh watch settings when opening Clay. After two seconds without a
reply, clearly label cached values. Late replies update the cache without
reopening the page; pending saves retain durable confirmation and retry behavior.
- Replace Menu Help with general Help: eight selectable topics for navigation,
reading, resuming prayers, pinning shortcuts, menu layout, phone settings,
Holy Rosary, and the noon reminder. Instructions scroll with Up/Down; Select or
Back returns to topics. Help does not change saved prayer positions.
- Clarify the first-use pinning hint: in All Prayers lists, hold Select and then
release for options. Help → Pin Shortcuts explains the category, prayer, and
main-menu slot steps.
- Expand release checks for Help scrolling, phone/watch Compact Menus changes,
Clay refresh and cached fallback, persistence, reset, and compact text rendering.
Prayer wording, Rosary weekday mappings, default shortcuts, spacious menu layout,
and store artwork are unchanged. Install this PBW and reopen MyApps Settings to
access the new Clay toggle and refresh behavior.
# Orationes v0.12.0
- Continue First is now the first watch Settings row, with its placement explained.
Continue emphasizes the full saved prayer name above the supporting label.
- A thin divider separates home shortcuts from navigation. Chevrons identify
submenu destinations, and a narrow position indicator tracks long lists,
including wraparound navigation. Wrapped labels reserve space for both.
- Short menu headers share a compact 32-pixel minimum; longer titles expand.
Header text is positioned to preserve descenders such as g, y, and p.
- Today's Mysteries previews the Rosary set and local weekday. All Mysteries
separates bold names from smaller weekday details.
- A readable first-use notice explains “Hold Select for options”. Settings →
Menu Help keeps the instruction available after dismissal.
- Optional Compact Menus uses 48-pixel minimum rows with full-size text and
measured expansion. The spacious 54-pixel layout remains the default.
This preference is watch-local, survives upgrades and relaunch, and resets
through watch Restore Defaults. Phone settings preserve it.
- Fix the missing Preces blessing cross (âś ) in Large text using a small bundled
font for the blessing paragraph. Extra Large retains its existing font.
- Expand regression checks for menu layout, header clearance, settings migration,
interrupted writes, compact persistence, and blessing-font coverage.
Prayer wording, Rosary weekday mappings, default shortcuts, and store artwork
are unchanged. Existing Continue First and appearance preferences are preserved.
# Orationes v0.11.0
- Remember Place On now resumes saved prayer positions from any menu, including
shortcuts, All Prayers, collections, and the Rosary's Litany of Loreto.
Without a saved position, a prayer starts at the beginning. Remember Place Off
always starts prayers at the beginning and clears saved places.
- Continue remains a quick link to the last saved prayer. Recent Prayers keeps
up to eight independent places, and Start again explicitly restarts a prayer.
- New installations use Dark appearance, Ocean title accent, and Lime navigation
highlight in both watch and Clay Settings. Existing saved preferences survive
upgrades. Empty space below a short main menu now follows the chosen appearance.
- One Restore Defaults action replaces the shortcut-only reset. It resets all
preferences: original shortcuts, Dark/Ocean/Lime, Large text, Remember Place On,
Continue First Off, noon reminder Off, and 10-second reminder duration. Saved
prayer positions are preserved. In Clay, tap Save Settings to apply the reset.
- The bottom of both watch Settings and Clay Settings displays the bundled app
version, derived automatically from the build version.
- Release checks include automatic-resume and all-settings-reset regressions.
Prayer wording and store artwork are unchanged. Developer installation may create
a local My Apps entry without store artwork; that does not indicate a missing PBW.
# Orationes v0.10.1
- Continue First is now available in Clay phone Settings and synchronizes with
the watch. Your existing preference is preserved on upgrade.
- Clay displays the bundled app version automatically.
- Continue First saves atomically with the other settings. Failed saves do not
partially apply a phone settings batch; older payloads preserve the preference.
- Added migration, interrupted-save, phone synchronization, and emulator coverage.
Prayer content, watch reading behavior, and store artwork are unchanged.
Developer-installed builds can lack My Apps artwork because the mobile app stores
them without the store's image metadata. Use the published store build for
store-linked artwork; a developer install is not a store-metadata refresh.
# Orationes v0.10.0
This update makes prayers easier to open, navigate, and return to.
- Open a prayer directly with Select in All Prayers. Hold Select and release
for Open/Pin options; a small header hint explains the controls.
- Read clearer response blocks and stanza spacing. Prayer wording is unchanged,
and the Litany of Humility attribution remains in small print.
- Press Select while reading for Start again or Jump to section. Preces and
both litanies have section jumps; Come, Holy Spirit has stanza jumps, and
Aspirations has ten groups covering all 92 entries.
- Keep separate saved places for up to eight recently read prayers. A ninth
distinct prayer replaces the oldest saved entry. Ordinary library and shortcut
openings still start at the top.
- Continue opens the most recently saved prayer directly. The optional,
watch-local Continue First setting places it above shortcuts; default Off.
- Release preparation now freezes one tested PBW with a source commit and
SHA-256, requires physical approval before publishing, and verifies selected
public destinations before synchronizing release-status documentation.
Existing shortcuts, prayer IDs, body text sizes, appearance settings, reminders,
and the phone settings protocol are preserved. Remember Place remains optional;
turning it off clears the saved history. Existing bookmarks are read on upgrade;
the older single-block Humility position is migrated approximately.
Aspirations moves to a generated resource without changing its text or styling,
leaving more room in the executable image. The app remains Emery-only and prayer
content remains available offline.
Adds Come, Holy Spirit and Litany of Humility under All Prayers > Daily Prayer, with individual watch and phone shortcuts. The Litany includes the concise, small-print attribution: Cardinal Merry del Val · after Mass. Both prayers work offline and support Continue, both reading sizes, and light/dark appearances. Existing prayer texts, default shortcuts, and saved settings are preserved. Pebble Time 2 / Emery.
Fixes Save Settings in the mobile Clay configuration page: changes to prayer shortcuts, colors, and other preferences now reach the watch. Pending settings recover after restarting Orationes. Verified in MyApp on a physical Pebble Time 2.
Choose independent navigation highlights (Classic, Amber, Tangerine, Violet, Magenta, or Lime), preview appearance changes before saving, and read with a clean edge progress indicator. Adds the connected-cross icon and header, category icons, clearer menu spacing, saved-prayer details in Continue, and shortcut confirmations. Includes Continue with Resume or Start again, the complete All Prayers browser with pinning, and reliable watch/phone settings recovery. Existing preferences are preserved on upgrade. Prayer wording, Rosary mysteries, and weekday selection are unchanged; no guided Rosary. Pebble Time 2 / Emery; prayers work offline.
Adds 92 Aspirations with paired Latin and English, 14 Prayer Cards as a collection or individual shortcuts, small-print private-use declarations, and direct return to the main menu after choosing a prayer shortcut. Includes noon-reminder recovery improvements. Default shortcuts remain unchanged. Pebble Time 2 / Emery; prayers work offline.
Adds configurable Prayer Shortcuts with up to seven main-menu entries, six new selectable prayers, duplicate protection, and wraparound shortcut navigation. Existing defaults remain unchanged.
Adds opt-in More Prayers and Confession collections while keeping the default prayer menu unchanged. Main-menu navigation now wraps from end to beginning.
Adds light and dark appearances with adaptive accent colors, Large and Extra Large text, an optional noon Angelus/Regina Caeli reminder, Memorare, fast hold-to-scroll navigation, and a double-click Select shortcut to the watchface.
Adds touchscreen scrolling on supported Pebble Time 2 firmware while retaining hardware-button navigation.
Large-print, high-contrast interface.
