Every minute, Pi Watch searches the digits of π to find your next time.
Each of the four time digits has its own cursor moving through the infinite, non-repeating sequence of pi. When the time changes, that digit scrolls through pi like a slot machine — passing through every digit it encounters along the way — until it lands on the exact occurrence of the number it needs. No shortcuts, no cheating. Every digit displayed has been earned by scrolling through mathematics.
On colour displays, the current time glows white against the scrolling grey sequence above and below it, with a smooth fade transition as each digit changes. On classic e-ink displays, the animation plays cleanly without unnecessary display refreshes.
