Pond 0.1.4 — a tiny tick, without the day-long wait.
Clean rebuild from source commit e236931, now on GitHub. Includes the haptic fix from 0.1.3: in Gentle mode, previews and optional accepted-drop ticks are available once settings are applied and the watch syncs. Quiet hours, pause, watch Quiet Time and clock checks still apply. Incoming ripples retain their initial 24-hour hold, four-per-day limit and 90-minute spacing. Retried or recovered confirmations stay silent.
Documentation and settings now describe the gesture as two short, quick wrist twists—a back-and-forth motion, rather than a tap on the screen. Repeat within two seconds to cancel.
Watch behaviour is unchanged from 0.1.3. Built for all seven Pebble platforms; physical haptic feel, gesture comfort and battery impact still need real-watch testing. Created by Monocursive.
Pond 0.1.3 — the rock found its tiny voice.
Fixed the first-day haptic hold blocking explicitly requested feedback. In Gentle mode, the preview tick and optional accepted-drop confirmation can now work immediately after your watch applies the settings and syncs. Quiet hours, pause, watch Quiet Time and clock checks still apply.
Incoming ripples and echoes keep their initial 24-hour hold, four-per-day limit and 90-minute spacing. Retried or recovered drop confirmations remain silent. Settings now explain preview availability.
Validated with the native comfort-policy regression tests, 17 phone-bridge tests, two landing/settings tests, and builds for all seven Pebble platforms. Physical haptic feel still needs testing on your watch. Created by Monocursive.
Pond 0.1.2 — a little more room for plops.
The shared service now accepts up to 100 contributions per rolling 24 hours, at least 10 seconds apart. Drops and echoes share these limits; retries of the same drop do not count twice. These limits are enforced by the server.
To prepare a drop, try two short, quick wrist twists—a quick back-and-forth motion. Based on Time 2 feedback, this feels more like a wrist twist than a screen tap. Pond detects accelerometer motion, not screen touches. Repeat the gesture within two seconds to cancel.
Includes the lighter motion threshold and reliable, silent confirmation retries from 0.1.1. RATE LIMIT and NOT SENT distinguish definitive rejections from UNKNOWN; network retries show SENDING. Gesture comfort, accidental triggers and phone/background delivery still need real-device validation. This wording clarifies the existing gesture; the detector has not changed.
Clean build for all seven Pebble platforms from source commit 3b3dea6. Created by Monocursive.
Lighter plops and clearer delivery feedback.
Reduced the physical double-tap threshold after Time 2 feedback that it required hard knocks. The gesture uses the accelerometer, not touchscreen input; comfortable tapping and accidental-trigger rates still need physical testing.
Drop confirmations now retry after a failed phone-to-watch acknowledgement and can be recovered after a bridge restart without posting another drop. Replayed confirmations stay silent. Network retries keep showing SENDING, while definitive server responses distinguish RATE LIMIT and NOT SENT from an uncertain outcome. Wait at least 30 seconds between drops; the service also caps drops at 40 per day.
Validated with 17 bridge tests, three native test suites, and builds for all seven Pebble platforms.
First public early release. Meet your smiling river stone, customise its shape and colour, and optionally join a shared pond to send and receive gentle ripples. Silent by default, with quiet hours, pause and reduced motion. Built for all seven Pebble platforms. Double-tap gestures, physical-device behaviour and battery impact are still being tested. Made by Monocursive with gratitude for the Pebble community.
